A Little History

The Airdrie Artist Guild was established in 1988 by Jean Ottosen and Roger Lee. It is a non-profit Society accepting members within the community who enjoy art creation and social atmosphere that encourages art awareness and development. Meetings are held the second and fourth Wednesdays monthly, this year in the Co-op Community Room. Today the club offers the same art enjoyment opportunities as in the past; workshops, demonstrations, lectures, sketch night, video demos and community projects. Art is displayed over the summer in the Airdrie Public Library and at various outlets in town including Smitty's Restaurant.

Seniors Art Enrichment Program

Today the Airdrie Artists Guild will host the seniors art enrichment program at the over 50s Club.  This is the last day of the program and it was free for our senior community.  Today they will give back by painting bowls to donate for the Empty Bowls Fundraiser here in Airdrie next Saturday at Nose Creek Park.  Anyone wishing to volunteer to help out we will begin at 2:30 pm  Thanks Tami
